Morning timelapse - 3m 57s (almost 2 hours real time)

  • D working on new rafters and blocking

  • H comes out and does some clean-up, then starts working on filling in the empty blocking spots - lots of work on the table saw off-camera

  • It's pretty subtle but wildfire smoke slowly increases during the video

Afternoon timelapse #1 - 4m 19s (2h 9m real time)

  • The morning activities continue: D is adding new rafters and blocking for them and H is filling in blocking in installed rafters

  • Note the smokey haze to the neighbor's trees in the background

  • The rafters were hitting the beam between the North posts, so D gets out a chisel and shaves it down (three times?)

Afternoon timelapse #2 - 4m 48s (3h 24m real time)

  • D finishes the rafters

  • H finishes the blocking on the West side

  • D and H assemble the North side overhang (in the shed, mostly out of sight)

  • D measures the remaining blocking on the East side

  • D and H install the North side overhang

  • D (off camera) cuts the remaining blocking and H fits, trims and installs it

  • D starts trimming down some of the East side blocking that's sticking up a bit

  • D starts figuring out how to fit and attach the rafter facing on the East side.

Rafters are pretty much done!!! A bit of the blocking on the East side is sticking up and needs to get planed down, then we attach the subfascia then the fascia. I'm also going to add studs (possibly not the right term) in the triangles between the North and South walls and the rafters.... then we're ready to sheath it!

It got dark before I took an end-of-day picture, sorry!
