Last week D planned a vacation day today because there was rain forecast for tonight and we were hoping to have the roof done (yeah!)... when it was clear that the roof wouldn't be done (and the forecast changed to no rain) I considered cancelling and working, but school was cancelled due to poor air quality and thus P could help so we went a head and did a shed work day.
Morning timelapse 4m 48s
P working on the fascia (trim)
D trimming down a tall rafter
P working on the fascia on the back of the shed
D trimming down some tall subfascia boards
H helps P with the back fascia
D trims the first roof sheathing sheet to size
D and P align and clamp the sheathing and start screwing it down
A comes in to show us the tomato harvest
Took this still when I took my phone off the roof at lunchtime...
The afternoon timelapse didn't work - probably because my phone (which is being used to create the timelapses) completely ran out of battery (since I didn't want to be climbing up to the roof to turn it on and off!)
We got 4 "full sheets" of plywood and one of the fillers between them in place, then I realized that my plan was bad and I needed a new plan for how to slice up my plywood for the half-sheet areas (that were slightly more than a half sheet)... then I mis-cut the first one and spent a bunch of time trying to figure out how to adjust for that... in the end there were essentially 4 rectangular sections that need to get filled. I have enough plywood, but have to tetris some pieces together to make it work.

After work I filled two of the remaining 4 rectangular sections and now have a clear plan for the remaining two, so if everything goes well I should be able to finish the sheathing tomorrow after work. Rain in the forecast for Friday... do we tarp it or just let it get rained on?
